Engagement beyond the company
Social and cultural engagement has always been part of the Wemhöner company and family culture.
To substantiate this motto, the Wemhöner foundation was founded in the year 2000 on the occasion of the 75th company anniversary. The Wemhöner foundation assists Science and Research - in particular the further education of young engineers. But also art and culture - particularly the contemporary art is an important concern of the responsible persons of the foundation.
The MARTa in Herford
As associate of the MARTa Herford Wemhöner has set another positive sign for the industry. The atypical building of the architect Frank Gehry is a novel combination out of museum, centre of expertise and event forum. Located in the centre of the German furniture industry it gives new impulses for art, design, architecture and industry.
Foresight
New ideas influence also Wemhöner's engagement. As initiator and organiser of international symposia and congresses, Wemhöner focusses on visionary topics. Moreover the - wemhöner award - was granted for the first time in the Wemhöner history. A design competition to support innovations around the topic of the 3D furniture production.
